Solar Photovoltaic

Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) has grown dramatically in popularity over the years as homeowners & businesses realise it is a great way to reduce their energy bills.

Solar PV capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells.  These cells don’t need sunlight to work, they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day.  The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household, or business appliances, lighting etc.

Cut your electricity bills, sunlight is free so once you have paid for the initial installation, your electricity costs will be reduced.

Cut your carbon footprint, Solar electricity is green renewable energy and doesn’t release any harmful carbon dioxide or other pollutants.  A typical home solar PV system could save around 1.3-1.6 tonnes or carbon per year (depending where you are within the UK).

Solar PV requires little maintenance, you just need to keep the panels relatively clean and make sure they are not overshadowed by trees etc.

Solar PV can also contribute to reducing the running costs of either a Ground Source Heat Pump or Air Source Heat Pump, making them an ideal combination.

McCartney Group is registered under the Microgeneration Certificate Scheme (MCS) and are experts in all aspects of renewable technology installations.  Our specialists can provide you with clear information on all aspects of the installation & expected RHI payments.
